I have read much of this and I keep seeing 'fair'.. well it is fair.. everyone has the opportunity to start a 10+ level character.. so what is not fair about that.. yes many of us have started off at 1st level and I'm sure many more still will.. hell I have a 24th level character I have been playing for nigh on 20 years now and I'd love to play him again.. but NO ONE has a game in this epic level theme.. so I have to reinvent him or play one of his many kids.. Tangar and Thorgir to be exact.... I think this is a good idea and if there is a GM or 2 that wants to run some higher level games .. let them. We anre here to have fun and RP. This is a good idea... some have the creative outlet to give this a real good shot at being fun.. and the GM still has a say in what character gets used.. munchkins get reworked to usable characters... min/maxers get evened out.. we could even go for higher starting stats.. 83 points or 85.. this is a more heroic level of character.. but even with the normal starting stats at 10+ levels you get 2 stat increases anyway. Let's stop this 'fair play' thought in favor of a 'everyone gets to do it ' thought.

Oh yeah .. I have to agree with Silverback on many things.. I have been playing this game since the late 70's.. I have played so many 1st through whatever level characters that I think I can play a 10 + level character very well.. I, like Silverback, have confidence in my RP ability to do it well. I have in many table top games... and at Cons you get in games where you may have to play a higher level character.. do you fold and tell the GM ... 'No I have to play out the lower levels first or I just can't do it right...' I think not .. you sit and play the character and have loads of fun...
