Horek approaches Duras after the devout paladin finishes his prayers.

"I have been thinking on the riddle and something I saw many years ago comes to mind. One night a scream rang out from a home not far from my own. I raced toward the sound, along with many other men, and was greeted with a sight from childhood nightmares. A pale creature with eyes that burned like hot coals had killed an old woman and feasted upon her flesh even as we approached. The beast hissed at us and none approached until the shaman arrived."

The plainsman's eyes grow distant as he recalls the scene. "He muttered a prayer and held tightly to the holy symbol he always wore around his neck. Suddenly, a... white light of some kind shot forth from his outstretched hand and the ghoul turned to ash. I remember that he said something about 'channeling' to some of the older men, but I don't really remember the details. Perhaps something like that can be used against the invisible wall?"

The barbarian looks again toward the barrier, his hand rubbing the hilt of his greatsword in restless anticipation. He is not used to battling something, even an inanimate object, with magic instead of simple metal.

OOC: Perhaps using positive energy like a 'turning' attempt against the wall? I tried to make the suggestion using a plausible example from Horek's past. I doubt he would know of such terminology even if his player does! :)

Horek Varshot
Deep bronze skin and the red body paint that decorates the face of this large man combine to mark him as one of true Flannish origin. The plainsman carries a sturdy longbow and a huge sword is strapped tightly to his back. Studded leather armor peeks out from beneath a cloak made from the hide of a large black bear and a necklace decorated with huge claws completes the picture of this fearsome barbarian. The scowl upon his face along with hard, piercing eyes warn you that disturbing this quiet man might be considered foolhardy unless there is good reason.
