Seriously speaking, I will probably begin another adventure in February or March. Until then, I can't handle anymore newcomers. As much as I would love to run a dozen adventures, I don't have the time.

For now, I suggest a few things. Think of your character's background and sketch a distinct well-thought personality. Then, create a character in the PZ Program that fits the personality and background. Finally, "begin" your character in one of the few active cities on the boards. You can easily have a character native to Furyondy begin his adventuring life else.

The War College of Furyondy is a school that onced trained the military leaders of the Kingdom. In game terms, a character would have to be mid-level to enter the College. Storywise, the King closed the College due to scandel, death and all that good stuff. For these reasons, being a graduate from the War College is not an option for new characters.

However, your character can be from a military family or even nobility as Furyondy is rich in both military and nobility traditions. The only catch is that your character absolutely can not have a title or gain any benefit. ie) father gifts a heavy warhouse with full plate barding, character receives monthy stipend, etc. From my observations, the best PCs of noble or military background have a conflict of some sort that influences their decision to leave the humdrum military/noble life and take up a dangerous and unpredicable life of adventure.

Hope these ideas are helpful.
Have fun around the boards.
