Well, you'll certainly find Jotha quite a different person from Vystra. :)

Vystra has actually been a lot of fun to play because of precisely the freedom that PBP and CORE permits. With multiple characters and the lack of 'table top politics', I don't feel as restricted in really living up to the character's personality. She's not truly designed to be a thief, but rather a survivalist. She has had a hard life and knows that her future depends entirely on her own actions.

As for the ring, she never considered her action stealing. The ring was obviously (to her thinking) the property of her temple and she should be the one to return it. She tried doing it the nice way, but that didn't work. So she had to revert to her survivalist skills which told her to liberate it. While it was unfortunate that you sensed her actions, she was more than willing to deal with the consequences. I think our RP of the tension was outstanding. Good job.

Note: Vystra was also acting a bit more defensive than she might have normally because you came on so aggressively from the beginning. You accused her of being a rogue simply for skulking in the dark and being able to disable a device. In her mind, she was being extraordinarily cautious because she had found herself thrust into a unknown position and considered you a threat because at that point everything was a threat.

Keep in mind, Vystra doesn't really consider her action stealing. The ring didn't actually belong to you so she was taking it for safer keeping. The religious tension

Jotha Elan, Father Joe to his flock, is a lanky man with a well-groomed appearance. His hair is dark, but starting to grey with age. His blue eyes seem like pools of serenity and trust. He wears simple cleric vestments and sports a symbol of Rao about his neck.
