Turrold continues to move up the hill with Tyro, Kerravin and Warblade following behind and Tanner taking up the rear a few seconds after the group sets off. Caellen wanting to keep up with the others continues to move at a double speed.

BIP:
Turrold reaches the top of the hill and sighs but also spots a huge ballista 40 feet away pointing at him with a dozen or so gnolls around the ballista. The gnolls yapping increases when they spot the dwarf.

Ryli shots at another gnoll (16 :( )

Kain aims another arrow and fires taking out the gnoll who he had fired at before. (21 :) dam:7)

Gnoll 7 runs back to join the other gnolls by the ballista and turns to aim at Turrold.

Tanner moves with the others but spots no targets to attack.

Gnoll 6 drops to the ground bleeding and dying.

A loud twang resounds as the ballista is released. Turrold watches as his death flies towards him. The large bolt could esily emapell him and Tyro both and still have room for a halfling or two. {5+6=11 :) } Turrolds prayers do not go unanswered for the bold flies about a foot to the right causing no damage.

The gnolls howl in anger and four arrows streak in the night towards Turrold. {2+1=3:) 5+1=6 :) 5+1=6 :) 14+6=20 :( damage 5]

All but one miss by at least three to five feet. One however flies true and strikes the dwarf a glancing blow. The gnolls don't give the dwarf time to think for they begin their charge and rush Turrold.

OK now the real action begins. The gnolls had wanted to charge immediantly after the firing of the bows but they were too late so they are charging on round 3. They will charge the lead person so watch your iniative and don't get caught out alone. :(

Kain and Ryli can no longer see the action so they will need to move up the hill.
