Disappointed that his suggestion of checking the smaller cave seems to have led to a dead end and wasted time, Tanner feels pressure to find something useful down this mine. Examing the pile of bones and tools, Tanner hopes to find some piece of information (or useful item) that might make this little detour not a complete waste of time. But if the party doesn't find any secret doors or hidden passageways, Tanner will turn back and head back to the original tunnels to follow Kain and Kerravin into the Gnolls' Lair.

As he looks at the remains and the tools, Tanner will look to see if they appear elven at all, which might indicate that this was once an Elven mine and perhaps the gnoll caves next were orignally made by Elves. What good that information would do Tanner he's not sure, but at least he would know it.
A tall, gangly human youth looks at you, his questioning green eyes filled with the energy and enthusiasm of youth. Clad in a fine chain shirt with a buckler emblazoned with crossed lute and sword, he wears an Elven rapier at his side and a rustic lute over his shoulder.
