Tanner is both disappointed and greateful that the party's decision was to return to camp. Though the heat of battle and the excitement of the hunt pressed him onward, he understood that the safer and wiser course was to return to camp and rest in preparation for tomorrow's battles. Though he knew it to be, Tanner couldn't help but wonder at the wizard's fate in the gnoll caves and if they could possibly still arrive in time.

As soon as they return to camp, Tanner will offer to cast Detect Magic. "Let's see if there's anything here that might help us against those gnolls. Also, Caellen, I've picked up a trick or two watching you these last days as we've traveled, and I think I could help with the healing both during and after battles. So I will keep an eye out for bleeding comrades as we continue into the gnoll caves." (ooc: Tanner has CLW as one of his spells.)

"And as for how to enter the caves, I whole-heartedly agree that we should try to enter through the hidden entrance in the mine. If it's important enough to hide, it's worth us taking a look. Although Caellen, you may want to pray for that wizard, for I fear to think what his days and nights are like in those caves."

Once all the equipment has been identified and dispersed, Tanner will gather up his equipment and follow the others back up the hill for another try at gnolls.

"Once more unto the breach, dear friends!
And we'll fill up the caves with Gnollish dead!"
