Glennifar over hears (Critias?) pleas to Tyro and the rest of the party and decides to offer up his own plea for Stone's life.

"Tyro, this is the first I've heard of this scroll, but we may have other good reasons to return. I cannot speak for certain which of the three that were removed from our cell at that last moment before our escape was acting as a spy, but the gnome, Stone, seemed, to me at least, a fair creature worthy of our attempt to mount a rescue should he still live."

"It would be far worse, I fear, should he nor the others, not still be alive when we find them. I know not what, if anything you have learned of a creature called the Yuan-Ti, that captured me with the aid of her ogre lieutenant, but they are not of your world and have strange powers. And indeed even stranger rituals. She may even have the power to Gate in others of her kind. There was some discussion of a ritual called the Burning or the Great Burning. If she still succeeds in completing her ritual, it could become very bad, very cquickly. And not just for us here depending on the power of this one creature."

The elf mage pause for one breath.

"The remaining prisoners may well be being used, as we speak, for one of these unspeakable Yuan-Ti rituals. I know not what the end result could be but it could be any thing from being granted certain gifts from there god, Merrshaulk, to something unbelievable, like the opening a gate to bring here others of her kind into this world."

He shakes his head.

"Perhaps it just my untrusting spirit, but I seem to be fearing the worst these days. I see plots within plots, but I blame... ...who I blame for my suspicious nature is irrelavent. We need to stop this Yuan-Ti before it is too late."

He looks to Tyro, Kain and the other for the very trust he himself would not have given them only a few days ago.

Gee. That's a big post for Glennifar. Making up for lost time I suppose. ;)

Glennifar is an Elf, but you'd hardly know it to look at him. At 5' 9" he is taller than most elves but seems even taller from under a large wizard's hat. His long, flowing, white hair is out matched only by his long flowing green and gray robes. He appears to be, in all respects, a typically wizened mage.
