When Tyro hears the elf mages concerns about his "new friends" he cannot think of how to deal with them. He imagines simply telling these folk that since they do not know them that they will have to tie them up while he and the party are gone.

He shakes his head to clear his mind of such terrible thoughts. Then a new one drops into place. Fear is a powerful tool if used correctly he could learn quite a bit about these people.

He steps up the the gathered new comers.

"Gentlemen," he begins, "Will be leaving shortly as you know. After you finished eating, you may sleep around our campfire. I urge you to not wander away from here without guidence to our camp. The woods here are very dangeous. Just yesterday, before we went off to hunt the gnolls that took Glennifar from us, we encountered a black dragon. Wagon Master Dunn and his men along with Talon managed to keep it at bay, with our help of course, but it was Talon's blow that finally drove it off."

The warrior puts a hand on the young ranger's shoulder as if he were his proud older brother.

He smile because every word is true, yet it is their interpretation of this truth that he is hoping to see in their eyes. If he sees the right amount of concern, on each of these folks faces then he can depart and the camp should be safe while he and the rest are gone.

GM Crow -- I'm hoping you will allow Tyro a Bluff (perhaps combine with a touch of Intimidation) with a strong bonus. A bonus born out of the fact that every word he just spoke is the complete truth so that his conviction should be fully present as he speaks.

What he is looking for a reaction of worry to cross each of their faces. Anyone who he sees that is not impressed with his Dragon tale has to be someone for the party to worry about.

His alternate plan could include bring them ALL along as the party goes back into the cave.

Well, I had posted this earlier so that may have something to do with the confusion.

Quote:

"Quickly. Lets return back to our camp. Once there we can try and get all of these poor folk sorted out with food and hopefully some spare clothing. Blankets for them at the very least. I still carry my old traveler's outfit perhaps it is sized to fit one of you."

I've corrected my post to reflect our current position, but if these NPC are putting on armor, then they should follow our part in if they are to remain under our protection.

If not Talon can keep an eye on them from here while the rest of us enter the cave(s).
