Holding the potions in front of the gnolls, Tanner tells them to read the labels for him. "If you want to get out of here alive, tell me what they say!" he barks in the Gnoll language. Listening to the gnolls request for freedom in exchange for the information, Tanner thinks for a moment, weighing the importance of the information against his desire to see the creatures executed. Finally deciding, he says, "Very well, we'll let you go in exchange for the information, if you tell me the truth." Tanner, of course, will use his Bluff Skill to try and get the gnolls to believe him. After all, if they were to let them go now, how could they prevent them from running and warning the others that they were coming and how many they were.

Turning back to his companions, he says, "I think we have all we're going to get from here. Let's move forward carefully, with the rangers in front and anyone else who can spot danger or ambushes. Once we find out where this cave is, we can figure out a plan of attack." At least, Tanner hopes they'll be able to figure out a plan of attack....

A tall, gangly human youth looks at you, his questioning green eyes filled with the energy and enthusiasm of youth. Clad in a fine chain shirt with a buckler emblazoned with crossed lute and sword, he wears an Elven rapier at his side and a rustic lute over his shoulder.
