Turrold's "riding lessons" have been going well, he supposes. He converses with whoever rides next to him, trying to learn of his companions and the local conditions.

Still, he can't help the feeling of being watched or stalked.

When the circus reaches the campsite, he follows Kain's lead and brushes his horse down and feed her her oats before leading her to the picket line. Then he sets up his tarp and bedroll, looking at the sky for weather.

To Glennifar, Ryli, Tyro and Kain, each in their turn as he encounters them, the new-beard says,

" I dinnae why, but I'm feelin' like I'm th' Needfest goose when th' goodwife opens th' coop wi' an axe...if'n there's trouble, wake quick...takes a sec tae git intae me armor."

With that, if the caravan has a small forge for on-the-road repairs, he'll help get things up to snuff. If there isn't one, he'll put his hands to where-ever work is needed until dinner.
