OOC:
Nah, I love kids. It's the more fantastical type that always manage to cause me trouble. ;)

Ryli smiled at Glennifar, laughing inside at the fact that she had managed to pick up a stray puppy that would most likely follow her around until he gained his own feet.

"Actually, there's not all that much that you need to do right now. I don't know much about magic," she explained, a haunted look briefly flashing across her eyes, then disappearing so quickly that any onlooker wouldn't be sure whether he had been hallucinating or not. "However, from the small amount of knowledge of your craft that I do have, I'd say that you could try setting up any protective spells. Maybe something that will alert you if something passes through a certain spell barrier."

It was apparent that the elf was trying hard to think of something, but honestly didn't know much about the capabilities of magic-- at least, not outside of battle.

"Until we get into a battle, there's actually not that much to do. Everyday stuff, of course, like normal defense and caution, but you don't need to worry about it too much. It's good to see that you want to contribute, though. One who is willing to help makes a worthy addition to any group."

Ryli nodded to the mage encouragingly, then turned to scout the area for any signs of recent inhabitation.

OOC:
The spell she's talking about it alarm, by the way, if Glennifar knows it. I think it'd be pretty useful, presonally. Of course, what do I know? ;)

With the sharp features and flowing grace of elfkind, Ryliranna Sohquil (meaning Midnight Starbreeze) possesses a soft beauty. She's tall for an elf, with twinkling emerald eyes and rich chestnut-brown hair, a longbow slung over her shoulder.
