Listening to the voices up ahead, Tanner becomes acutely aware of the danger they are approaching. Turning to Tyro and the others, he whispers his concerns. "We have no idea how many there are up there, or if they are on the alert for us. One thing I do know, though, is that those big rocks up ahead look like the perfect place for an ambush. These gnolls may not know that al of the others were killed or captured, but at least one returned wiht news of the battle, so we can only assume that they expect to be followed. I suggest that we move to the right and circle around so we can approach from the side. If we stay in cover and let the rangers move ahead to scout, hopefully we can see them before they see us. Once we know how many and where, we can try and dispatch them quickly."

ooc: If the group goes to C-2 and then moves up the tree at K-2, we might avoid any ambushes and get close enough to see without being seen. The rangers, moving ahead and scouting, could move from the tree at D-10 to the tree at I-6 and then on to K-2. But this is just Tanner's suggestion.
