Tanner, hearing the clunk of metal behind him, wonders if the gnolls already know that they're here. Hearing Blade and the rangers preparing to advance, Tanner offers to join them. Knowing that he can move as quietly as the others, he hopes that his spells might come in handy once they have a clearer idea of what they're facing. He just has to make sure that he doesn't end up on the front lines of any hard-fought battle.

"I'll come too," Tanner whispers to Blade and the rangers and he moves quietly up to the front. "My spells may help create a surprise or diversion." Or a quick retreat, he thinks to himself.

ooc: Even though Tanner acts for all the world like a half-elven bard, he's actually just human and therefore doesn't have any low-light vision. Just regular good human eyesight. :)
A tall, gangly human youth looks at you, his questioning green eyes filled with the energy and enthusiasm of youth. Clad in a fine chain shirt with a buckler emblazoned with crossed lute and sword, he wears an Elven rapier at his side and a rustic lute over his shoulder.
