Tyro decides to take Blades silence as accent that they could trust the lad.

"Talon, eh? Well, Talon, you're right. If you're doing a man's work, then a man's pay you should get."

Tyro hides a grin behind a cough.

"And if a man's willing to take a long manly journey that will keep him away from hearth and home for nearly a month, then you can report to the back of the wagon train. There's a man back their named Dunn there. For the rest of today or at least until or break for a midday meal, you do as he says. If you do that, I'll have a word with my other rangers there." He points to Ryli and Kain "and see where they can might put you to better use."

"But I'll warn you now, Talon." He tries to sound like a stern but fair task master, "If either of them test you and find you to be less than a true ranger, you may find your wages cut to the same as these other fellows I've hire on. I'll promise not to kick you to the side of the road, but I won't pay a man for being a ranger, if he's not, understand? Does that sound fair to you? Can you live with that, Talon?"

If Talon agrees to Tyro's terms, then Tyro will ask Kain and Ryli to come up with some sort of Ranger's test to see how good he really is. Eitherway, one (or both) of them can take Talon under their wing and keep him out of serious trouble.

Next time why don't you just put a stray puppy in the highway. Purina would be a whole lot cheaper. :lol
