OOC: In my home game the assumption was that dwarves could ride horses, and gnomes and halflings tended to ponies and wardogs. Comes from being Medium size, I would suppose. I likewise did a rules check and could find nothing either way. Nevertheless, he got only a few points till he levels and he'll be putting points into Ride then. I often spend my skill points this way, using game-play to justify the gaining of skills.

If it makes you more comfortable Crow, go ahead and change Turrold's mount to a warpony and credit him with the differance in the PZ. Either way, I'm just a simple dwarf trying to kill as many orcs as I can before Clangeddin hauls me off to the Happy Hunting Caves... :P

As to the current situation, Turrold hears Ulfgar's call for Tyro to come up to the front, but will not have heard Ulfgar's explanation of the situation. Still, he's a soldier and has enough discipline to keep his post. When he hears it all, he's stereotypically suspicious...a new guy joining the caravan and possible trouble ahead...that smells like Ambush this sell-axe. >:

Turrold continues his converstation with Caellan:

"Well, I mets Tyro a few months ago when we both were hired by this Charboyya feller t' deliver some mail t' his kin...in the village o' Hanto now that I think o' it. We musta just missed each other... Anyways, we seemed tae fight well ta'gither and so when he started thishere guild, I figgered it a good thing an' joined up. After all, th' last go round let me kill a couple ogres and no few orcs and got a decent spot o' gold fer me clan...worked well all round I'd say." He beams the human a lopsided grin.... :D

When the caravan halts near the proposed campsite....

"Caellan, me lad. What d'ye make o' all this commotion, eh? We might be comin' tae camp, but I dinnae like it...I'm smelling a trap...though I dinnae why."

He scowls his displeasure and addresses the nearest groom...

"Lad, gae find the rest o' yer mates an' tell 'em tae come here tae me. I want ye gathered up intae one box if'n there's trouble...."
