OOC:
OK, about the armor question, I'm a medieval re-enactor and I fight, so let me weigh in with my own thoughts. Those who wear armor ALWAYS wear a quilted jacket underneath it called a gambeson or arming coat. Some finely made ones are thickly padded soft leather. These undercoats are absolutely needful, because the plates and rivets of metal can and do cause seriously debilitating bruises. Trust me, I've seen it.

It would not be unreasonable to assume, for game purposes, that those wearing predominantly metal armor would have this gambeson included in the armor bonus for AC. One could theoretically sleep in the gambeson, and that would be worth the equivilent of Padded or Leather armor. I know Turrold is wearing masterwork, so I'd pitch for leather armor-equivilent.

This concludes my two cents' worth. :)

Turrold has not be alerted to danger, so he's asleep. :(
