Re: SGM Crow | ||

Much thanks.
They gave me the promotion to oversee the new and expanding Greyhawk. It will be great to see our baby grow up!! Once it is seperated please let me know what areas you would like to moderate. Everyone can still post in the different areas but I'd like to have one AGM/GM in charge of a specific area to ensure it is always covered. Anyone have any suggestiongs ... shoot. I'm always listening. JamohnH@hotmail.com Questions? |

This is why I have to stop taking vacations...
I guess "congrats" are in order, though I have to admit, this could be an elaborate hoax just to confuse my already addle-minded circuits. As for Morgans' Treasure. I posted a response in the Snow Barabarians thread "Shadow-less". As for sections. It doesn't matter, I'll let the others have first choice. They may have preferences. I am cool with whatever I'm assigned. |

Crow,
Your SGM login should now be able to access the AGM/GM/SGM forums. Please report to the SGM forum to respond to the division of Greyhawk thread. When the sirens howl, do you yelp or yawn? |

Kain posted at the Gates with a dire badger animal companion. I'm having the PC secure the animal at the Caravan Yards before they can enter the city. As a major metropolis, we should have Rules for PCs with Wild Animals. |

[1] When will the City of Greyhawk split occur? [2] Should we recruit new GMs for the change? [3] How did Ysang get a 24 Intelligence score? |

SGM Crow |
Questions | ||
|
1) Not sure.
2) Always try to recruit more AGM's. Good for everyone. 3) He is a grandfathered character and has an Int 24 ever since his creation 3-4 years ago when 18+ attributes were allowed ... same as Koraxe with supernatural Str. Yes, both mine. |

Re: Questions | ||

Can you say Min-Max!
Excellent, I knew you could..... |
|||
SGM Crow |
Re: Questions | ||
|
Min/Max? I guess it depends on what you consider to be min/max. He doesn't have a Chr of 6, Str of 6 or Wisdom of 6. His other stats are around 10-12 which are considered normal for the average man with a slightly lower Str representing his time in tower and libraries.
So is he Min/Max? Not in my opinion. I think he is simply a genious with all of his other stats being average. If I had truly wanted him min/max then I'd give him 8 and 6's in his other stats and his Int as a 30. Course then he would be a true bubble child. As it is he is a struggling scholar who is trying to become an inventor. JamohnH@hotmail.com Questions? |

GM Spiral ...
SGM Jerry wanted your take on GH splitting. He seems to get the impression that you don't think it would be a good idea. If you can reply to these questions posted by Jerry and send them to myself or Jerry. We are still discussing the split. Quote: If anyone else wants to respond ... feel free and I'll post your comments in the SGM Forum for Jerry and the others to read. JamohnH@hotmail.com Questions? |

Re: GH Reforming ... questions

Hey Crow,
Take a look at this thread and see if this format could be useful until we organize the split. pub143.ezboard.com/fflana...D=38.topic It one of SGM Jonathan's ideas. I hate admiting I like anything he does around here, We are not the stony dry ground over which the wind blows and the rivers runs. We are part of the energy that gives the wind motion and that drives the river to to the sea. |

Re: Questions - Min/Max

Revisionist memory, I guess!
You "might" have been a Min/Max. The 80 point rule was enacted to reduce the existance of Min/Max-ed characters that had been created with the 73 point rule. I don't know if any are still out there. Technically, you could have normal ranks in 5 stats and be a candidate for Min/Max. The Min/Max was defined in some circles as having one stat out of proportion with the others. Thus a character with the following stats would be considered a Min/Max: Str:23 Dex:10 Con:10 Int: 10 Wis: 10 Cha:10 Five of the stats are at a normal or minimum level in order to maximize the one stat needed for the player to optimize a specific class's benefits. But the other version is true too. lowering stats so low in order to pump up the necessary ones to gain more spells, skills, etc. I remember in 1st edition when a 24 INT was considered a near god-like stat. They used to call an INT of 24-25 Supra-genius. I guess Ysang may have a lot in common with Wile E. Coyote.... |

Choices | ||

If Crow voluntarily chooses to reduce these stats to normal levels as a gesture of good will, he would set an excellent example for the rest of us. |

You really do live in a fantasy world, don't you Spiral. We are not the stony dry ground over which the wind blows and the rivers runs. We are part of the energy that gives the wind motion and that drives the river to to the sea. |

Re: Choices | ||

I wouldn't hold your breath ... you might be waiting a long time. I see no reason to change the character ... for anyone. He's a grandfather character and is approved so if you are wondering ... I am not looking for approval from anyone in this forum.
