IC:
Land Gates
Two large gatehouses West and South securely defend the five men high walls. At each gatehouse, a large contingent of grim looking and alert guardsmen moniter the passage through the gates. The gatehouse guardsmen wear guardsmans cloaks over their standard chainmail hauberks and carry heavy halberds and other light arms. More guardsmen walk along a wooden parapet built across the top the wall. From the entrances, the dark citadel is visible. The banners of House Torquann wave proudly.
Beginning a few hundred yards from the city gates are those condemned to die on the crosses. Nailed bodies hang from high timber posts that line the lonely roads to Atirr.
Sea Gate
Old ships and boats crowd the weather beaten wharves along the rocky shoreline bordering the rough waters of the cold Solonar and swift Trask. Most of the seafaring vessels appear to be the fleets of the worn fishing boats and whaling ships of Atirr. Occassionally, there are cogs and longships from the northern lands, and there are even the rare swift caravels and the huge galleons of foreign flag and trim from the southern lands and beyond. Along the river, countless smaller boats teem in the clear fresh waters. The everpresent seabreaze blows off the vast stretch of gray-blue waters and carries the briny scent of the ocean onto land.
OOC:
